They have successfully undergone several tests like: REACH: Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals in EU IHTM – Hammock Protocol for stability and endurance ISO 18254-1” standards The handmade Mayan textile, as soft as robust, is perfect for the confection of hammocks. The traditional fabric of our Mayan hammocks has been rigorously tested by a European laboratory for resistance and chemicals. In this extra large version, three strips of fabric are stitched together in a traditional arrow pattern by the women of local Mayan communities. The exceptional width of the fabric allows you to lie across it, a recommended position for ideal back support. When reasonably used, it’s possible to keep our quality hammocks intact for many years. Preferably, don’t let the fabric of your hammock exposed to rain, direct sun or below-zero temperatures. To preserve it, we also recommend using our round shaped Ropes and Wood kit and washing your hammock in its bag, using the delicate program of the wash machine.
