The preamp is housed in the API 500-series format and brings the Millennia quality to an ever increasing popular format. A "Ribbon Mic" switch couples the input signal to the gain stage and also provides an additional 10 dB of gain (phantom power is switched off in this mode). An instrument input is provided on the front panel for connecting Hi-Z sources such as bass guitars.
